Rachel Weisman, ESQ.

Rachel Weisman, graduated from The City University of New York, Brooklyn College, Cum Laude in 1986 and earned her Juris Doctor from Yeshiva University, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1989, where she was Editor of the Moot Court Competition, member of the Moot Court Board and Semi Finalist in the Jessup International Competition.

Prior to founding the firm WEISMAN LAW GROUP, P.C. in 2001, Ms. Yosevitz, was a Senior Litigation Attorney at the New York City law firm of Mound Cotton & Wollan for ten years, the New York City law firm of Rosenberg & Estis, P.C., and the Long Island law firm of Steven L. Levitt & Associates, P.C. As a Senior Attorney Ms. Yosevitz specialized in commercial, family law and real estate related litigation, covering all aspects of family and business disputes including divorce, custody, support, division of assets; enforcement of shareholder obligations and disputes among shareholders; contract and business disputes including purchase and sale disputes, corporate dissolution and partnership disputes; lease disputes including retail, apartment, office and ground leases; and all aspects of commercial and residential landlord/tenant disputes including purchase options, renewal options, and alteration clauses.

Since founding the firm, Ms. Yosevitz has represented individuals, families, corporations, partnerships and shareholders in mediations, arbitrations, as well as at trial. Much of her practice involves litigation and transactional work in both Federal and State Courts in New York City, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey. Ms. Yosevitz has extensive experience in the family law arena, particularly where there are business interests involved. She has been involved in the negotiation and litigation of various corporate and professional business valuations. Ms. Yosevitz enjoys a particular expertise in the representation of medical professionals in their professional and personal capacity, defending their medical integrity and financial security. She has successfully represented several medical professionals in contract disputes and tort litigation in negotiations and through all phases of jury trials.

Randy S. Newman, is of counsel to the firm. Randy's practice consists of real estate and business matters where he concentrates on transactional matters and real estate related litigation. Randy acts as a trustee in non-judicial trustee's sales in California and Nevada. Randy has been involved in all aspects of real estate since 1982 and has represented numerous buyers, sellers, owners, and lenders in connection with the sale, purchase, lease, financing, and foreclosure of commercial and residential real estate. Randy has also represented numerous clients in the formation and operation of their business entities.

Randy received his bachelor's degree from Hofstra University, having majored in accounting. Randy attended law school at Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law New York where he was a finalist in the writing competition and a member of the tax court clinic. Randy has previously been an adjunct assistant professor of business law at New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan and currently writes and lectures extensively on real estate issues including foreclosures. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the United Trustees Association.
